Death means nothing

Death means nothing to the dead, but means everything to the living. To the living even the most faithful of us; death is the end. That fear grips us every day that we or someone we love will cease to exist. I've had these fears, but that was long ago and I've have yet to fear mine or anyone's death since. So the thought crosses my mind is this just cold feelings of someone who has lost so much or is this just the insanity of a lost soul. Or if death means nothing to the dead does that mean I'm already dead.
